Biology Is Not Bigotry, It’s Truth: Why the Olympic Committee Got It Right

By Chaz M. Evanson, Candidate for Governor of Colorado

“Faith and Virtue Lead to Freedom”

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27

A Line in the Sand Has Been Drawn… There comes a time when a culture must decide whether it will stand on the truth or collapse under the weight of delusion. That time is now. And thankfully, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) has just drawn a firm and righteous line in the sand. On July 22, 2025, they announced a landmark decision: biological males who have experienced male puberty will no longer be permitted to compete in women’s sports at the national level. This ruling follows the executive order issued by President Donald J. Trump earlier this year entitled, “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports.” Finally, a governing body has chosen fairness over fear, truth over ideology, and science over political manipulation.

This is more than a policy update, it is a restoration of sanity and justice for female athletes across this nation. It affirms something we should have never had to debate in the first place: men and women are biologically distinct, and women deserve a level playing field.

What’s at Stake for Our Daughters and Sisters… This ruling comes as a relief to countless young women who have been forced to compete against male-bodied individuals in the name of so-called “inclusion.” But inclusion that demands the exclusion of fairness is not compassion, it is coercion. Every girl who trains for years in her chosen sport, every woman who fights to rise in the ranks of elite athletics, deserves the right to compete against her peers, not against those who retain the irreversible advantages of male biology.

We’re not talking about feelings. We’re talking about facts. Male puberty creates physical advantages that no hormone treatment can undo, greater lung capacity, higher bone density, stronger muscle mass, longer limbs. These are biological realities, not social constructs. To ignore them is not progressive; it’s regressive, and it punishes the very women Title IX was created to protect.

Colorado Must Follow This Lead… As a retired Marine, a husband, a father of daughters, and a man of faith, I will not stay silent while the biological and moral order is trampled underfoot. Here in Colorado, radical policies have already allowed biological males to enter women’s spaces, dominate their competitions, and silence their objections. This is not progress. This is tyranny disguised as tolerance.

Let me be clear: as Governor, I will ensure that Colorado protects and respects biological truth in all areas of public policy, especially in education and athletics. I will work with our counties, school districts, and legislators to pass a statewide law that prohibits biological males from competing in women’s sports, K-12, collegiate, and professional. And I will protect parents, coaches, and educators who refuse to play along with this destructive charade.

Colorado will lead the way in restoring truth-based governance, not delusion-based social engineering.

This Is Not Hate. This Is Protection… The media and political left will try to paint this position as hateful or exclusionary. But I ask you, what’s hateful about telling the truth? What’s compassionate about letting our daughters be crushed under the weight of an unfair system?

We do not despise individuals who struggle with identity. We pray for them, we love them, and we respect their dignity as image-bearers of God. But love does not mean surrendering the truth. Love tells the truth with clarity and courage. And the truth is this: God made them male and female. That is not merely a religious belief, it is a biological fact, affirmed by science, genetics, and observable reality.

A just society protects women. A corrupt society erases them.

A National Turning Point, Now Let’s Bring It Home… With the USOPC ruling and the International Olympic Committee under new leadership reviewing similar policies, the tide is turning. We are witnessing a moment where truth is beginning to push back against the lies that have been forced on our children, our athletes, and our communities.

But it is not enough to cheer from the sidelines. We must act here in Colorado. I am running for Governor to do just that, to stand in the gap and rebuild our state on a foundation of faith, virtue, and truth. That means restoring the recognition of biological sex in law, protecting religious and parental rights, and giving our daughters the gift of fair competition once again.

Join Me in Defending Truth… This campaign is not about political power. It’s about moral obligation. We cannot let our daughters become casualties in a cultural war against reality. We must defend what is right, not because it’s easy, but because it’s necessary. Truth is not hate speech. Truth is the foundation of liberty.

The decision by the U.S. Olympic Committee is a powerful first step. Now it’s our turn to carry that momentum forward and build a Colorado that once again honors women, protects children, and affirms that biology is not bigotry, it is truth.

Let us rise, not in anger, but in resolve. Not in fear, but in faith. Not in silence, but with a righteous voice declaring: Enough is enough. We will not lie. We will not yield. We will protect the truth, because without truth, there is no freedom.

Stand with me. Speak boldly. And let’s reclaim our state.

Let’s restore Colorado - one truth at a time.
